New Digs

New Digs

The New Year has brought some changes to Fasoldt Gardens!  Firstly, we’re refreshed after taking time off through Christmas and New Years.  We were going  strong at the the end of the year trying to complete the projects we had scheduled.  Its wonderful to have so much of a workload.  Its also very satisfying to be able to meet deadlines.  The best, however, is to take time off.

Setting up the new design studio

So, while we were “resting” we moved our design office.  The new place is in a tiny storefront in the Greenlake Neighborhood.  The other business owners in the turn-of-the-century commercial building have welcomed us as their new neighbor.  Next door is an artist who does Henna tattoos.  Next to her is an upscale butcher who runs a smoker out front whose sweet and smokey aroma of curing bacon makes me hungry every time I visit Nancy at her studio.  At the corner is the Dish restaurant, its another outlet of the very popular breakfast cafe that’s in walking distance from our house in Freelard.

So, we welcome 2014 with enthusiasm, a robust schedule of new projects and a continued sense of adventure that starts with a new place to design and create.

Good for you! A storefront is an historically classy place of business for a designer.
