I built an electric bicycle

My latest project is a fat tire bicycle outfitted with a pedal-assist electric motor.  The fun thing about fat tire bikes is that can ride almost anywhere- over sand, snow, rocky ground, even city streets.  The tradeoff is they are a bear to pedal.  With so much friction made by the 4″ wide tires, each turn of the peddlers cadence on flat ground is like going uphill.  I like to ride my motorcycle in the national forest on the degraded roads and on the several trails where motorcycles are allowed.  With this bike I hope to enjoy those places and more in relative silence!  Watch this short video to see what fun I’m having riding my new project: a 52volt mid-drive pedal assist electric motor bicycle on a short ride at Golden Gardens beach.  Maybe next weekend I’ll take it up to the snow.

i think that pedal rule it prolific in the U.S. to be considered a bicycle . Hub motors are great ,yes. I really think though that more research should be done with the chain drive design like this. It takes advantage of the gears
