10 Nov How to build a fence with rot-proof fence posts
If you’ve ever needed to replace a fence, you’ve noticed where the fence fails first- the posts. It’s right at the ground line where the microbes eat-through the fence posts. I’ve seen it on Cedar fence posts and on pressure treated posts as well. Now, I can’t take credit for this system, a multi-county fence contractor here uses this idea on some of their jobs. They’ll actually sell posts with the pipe installed. I’m too crafty for that. I spent a lot of one rainy Saturday in my shop and made the jig you’ll see in the video. My costs were a quarter of what the corporate fence giant charges for these posts.
